Seminar Terms
- Seminar dues are paid in cash at the door unless otherwise stated.
- All non-member attendees MUST sign Camal and Cruz waivers in addition to any waivers as required by the seminar host(s).
- All attendees (members, non-members, and spectators) MUST check-in with the front desk prior to the start of the seminar.
Private Lesson Terms
- Private lessons are available by appointment only.
- Lessons are 1 hour long and must be paid in advance at time of booking.
- You must confirm your lesson 24 hours in advance.
- If you are canceling, your instructor must be notified at least 24 hours in advance. No shows will result in forfeiture of the class. Refunds or credit will not be given for any no show or last-minute cancellation. Credits are issued for cancellations if made in advance. If you cancel due to an emergency, please notify your instructor as soon as possible.
- Class cards cannot be transferred from coach to coach. They are purchased directly from the coach you plan to train with. Cards can however be shared with a friend or family member. Class cards do expire, they must be used within 6 months of the date of purchase up to 18 months within the date of purchase. Expiration dates can be extended 60 days for a fee of 25.00.
- You can bring your own Uke (partner). If your uke is NOT a member of Camal and Cruz, they will need to sign a waiver.
Private Lesson FAQs
- How far in advance do I pay?
A minimum of 1 class must be paid at least 1 day in advance.
- Is there a discount for multiple classes?
Yes. You must prepay a multiple class card. Prices are at the discretion of the instructor.
- How far in advance do I need to confirm a class?
You must confirm at least 1 day in advance.
- What if I have a last-minute cancellation due to an emergency? Will I lose my class, or can I get a refund?
You must contact your instructor via phone ASAP. If you do not show without contacting your instructor, you will lose the class. There are no refunds, however credits are issued at the discretion of your instructor.
- What if I buy a Multi class card but not able to use the entire card, can I get refunded for the difference?
No, there are no refunds for unused classes. You may transfer (sell or gift) the remaining classes to another member of Camal and Cruz. There is however a transfer fee of 25.00 to be paid to your instructor.
- Do class cards expire?
Yes, they expire. They expire after 1 month per class. For example, if you buy a 5-class card, you have 5 months to use it. If you have a 10-class card you have 10 months to use it and so on.
- Can I extend my classes if I am not able to use all of them before the expiration?
Yes, for a small fee of 25.00 per 60-day extension. There is a maximum of 3 extensions (6 months).
- Can I use an Uke for my private lesson?
Yes, an Uke is recommended but not required. Please inform your instructor in advance.
- Can I share my private lesson with more than one Uke?
You must confirm with your instructor before inviting more than one Uke.
- Does my uke need to be a member of Camal and Cruz?
You may bring a nonmember as an uke however they will need to sign a waiver. They will need to fill out the non-member waiver: https://camalandcruz.gymdesk.com/signup/v/65JMx
- If I bring more than one Uke, is there an extra fee for extra Ukes? (Fee to the instructor or mat fee)
You will need to confirm with your instructor before inviting them to share your private lesson. If you are only bringing one Uke, there isn't an extra mat fee. However, if you are bringing more than one Uke or sharing your private with 2 or more friends (up to 4 max), the additional Ukes will need to pay a mat fee of $40.00 for non-members, in addition to any private fee.
- If I bring the same Non-member Ukes consistently (3 or more privates lessons), is there a discount for the mat fee?
If your Uke is a non-member but Ukes for you consistently, it is recommended to purchase a 10 class card for 300.00. They will save 10.00 per class. (1st or only 1 Uke does not have to pay a mat fee, this is for the 2nd person or more).
